Don Taylor

Don Taylor was born in Okema, Oklahoma where his family lived as sharecroppers before moving to California. Don was just 12 years old. At the tender age of 16, Don's mother signed him over to the U.S. Army and by his 17th birthday he was fighting in Korea. The experiences were very dramatic and Don saw the ravages of war first hand; even receiving a Purple Heart for being wounded in service above and beyond the call of duty for his beloved country.
Upon returning to the United States and achieving an honorable discharge, Don moved from California to Oklahoma City and began attending church at Airport Assembly of God where his uncle, Jack Bybee was pastoring. It was at that time he met and married his beautiful wife, Margaret in May 1956.
Don has been a faithful member and a great encouragement to
The Lighthouse Family Church. More than likely, when you arrive you will be greeted at the door by Don's warm handshake and hearty welcome.
